This project showed that patients were investigated within two weeks from G.P referral, which improved the 31 and 62 cancer targets with a financial saving of nearly
£ 15.000 in the first two months. Those results attracted a CCG funding for the appointment of a part time Band 6 triage nurse as part of the Straight-to-Test team.
At Medway Hospital, he was also Principal Investigator for NeoART clinical trial. A national trial sponsored by St. George’s University to establish whether antimalarial drug has a role as neoadjuvant treatment to improve recurrence and overall survival rate in operable colorectal cancer patients.
