Mohamed Abdel-Wanis currently working as a Chief Spine Surgeon at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Sohag Faculty of Medicine, Sohag University. He is holding a leading position in most reputed scientific society like AOSpine Middle East and North Africa Board Member for Community Development and also member of Member of the AOSpine International Community Development Commission. He also worked as Chairman of the Egyptian Chapter of AOSpine, during in his time AOSpine Egypt organized 18 events(symposia, seminar and courses) in Egypt.
Mohamed Abdel-Wanis is member of thirteen Professional Societies including AOSpine, AAOS, SICOT, North American Spine Society (NASS), Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA), Egyptian Spine Association (ESA), Asia Pacific Orthopedic Association (APOA), Asia Pacific Spine Society (APSS) and Saudi Spine Society (SSS).
Mohamed Abdel-Wanis published fourty three journal papers most of them in high –ranked journals including Spine, J Bone Joint Surgery, J Neurosurg Spine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Clinical Orthopedics, and International Orthopedics, along with four book chapters.
